RF Solutions provides products and services to our customers which are usually unique and not readily available from other sources.
These activites are outgrowths from the 30+ years of commercial radio systems design experience and products represented by the Jack Daniel Company.
There are few limits to the range of potential products, with the core technology being radio frequency related. These products are often one-of-a-kind items or in smaller quantities that larger fabricators and integrators could not handle promptly or at a reasonable cost.
Examples include:
- The integration of radio transceivers into products or applications that normally communicate via wired connections or telephone circuits over distances between 1 to 100 miles.
- Repackaging communications products to meet industry or application specific requirements.
- The marriage of different communications technologies to meet a unique requirement, such as fiber optics and RF signals, Industrial control (SCADA) data devices and radio transceivers, etc.
The consulting and engineering services provided by RF Solutions are widely varied and usually related to radio frequency communicatons systems in some way.
In most cases, the services are either confidential or too specialized to be given as specific examples here.
These services are performed by specialists in the field which are associated to RF Solutions on a contract basis. Each particular person is selected based on a match between thier experience and training and the objectives and technologies of each project. Currently, over 16 contract specialists are available.
Services include:
- Applications assistance for products to be used in special situations or conditions.
- System Integration where different technologies and/or product brands are involved. Note: we do not normally provide integration services that can be performed by a single product manufacturer or supplier.
- On-Site 30 to 1000 MHz Radio propagation surveys. RF Solutions also has equipment to conduct surveys in the 906-928 MHz band using spread spectrum techniques, suitable for newer unlicensed SCADA applications.
- Product Sourcing: We use our extensive database and industry contacts to locate hard to find product sources and manufacturers.
